Change to Arizona Employment Law Poster Requirements

The Arizona Legislature recently amended the reporting requirements for employees making workers’ compensation claims for on-the-job exposure to Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MSRA). Effective July 20, 2011, employees must report possible significant exposure to MSRA to their employers within 30 days. Employees must be diagnosed for MSRA-related medical conditions within 15 days of the report to their employer.

Arizona employers are currently required to post a notice about MSRA exposure reporting requirements, but this amendment requires the prior MSRA poster to be replaced. The new MSRA exposure reporting requirement poster must be posted next to the required Arizona workers’ compensation poster.
