The U.S. Department of Labor announced today that the Wage and Hour Division intends to publish a notice of proposed rulemaking to implement and interpret statutory amendments to the Family and Medical Leave Act that occurred in 2009. The amendments expanded the military family leave provisions and added a special eligibility provision for airline flight crew employees. The Division will issue proposed revisions to the FMLA regulations to reflect these changes.
