Q & A – What benefits am I required to provide to employees?

Q. What benefits am I required to provide to employees?

A. Employers must provide statutorily required benefits of workers’ compensation and unemployment.  If covered by the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), employers must provide qualifying leave, maintenance of benefits, and job restoration to eligible employees.  Employers are not required by law to provide others benefits like health and other insurances, paid time off, parking, etc. although most do attract and retain employees.
