From Frying Pan to Fire: How the NLRB’s Aggressive Agenda Will Impact Both Union and Non-Union Employers

ADCareerTransition.pngMany employers mistakenly believe that the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) does not apply to businesses who do not have a union. However, the NLRA covers almost all private employers regardless of whether there is a union presence. For this reason, both non-union and union employers should take notice that the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has moved forward with an aggressive agenda that impacts all those who fall within its jurisdiction.

This session will discuss the potential impact of the NLRB’s agenda and address what employers can expect in 2012 and beyond. Specifically, the topics will include the NLRB’s guidance on social media, recent NLRB decisions and what they mean for non-union and union employers, the employee rights posting requirement, the revised “quickie” election rules, President Obama’s Board appointments, and the direction of the NLRB.
