The standard filing period for the VETS-100 and VETS-100A forms is between August 1 and September 30. However, once again, the filing deadline has been extended. This year’s deadline is now October 31.
As a reminder, if your company has a federal government contract or subcontract entered into before December 1, 2003, valued at $25,000 or more, you need to file the VETS-100 form. If you have a federal contract valued at $100,000 or more that was entered into or modified after December 1, 2003, you are required to file the VETS-100A form. Both of these forms provide the Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS) with information about the protected veterans a company currently employs and the protected veterans that the company has hired in the previous 12 months.
