Hiring the right person for the job is challenging enough without legal issues to deal with. But, the reality is that hiring a new employee presents a host of potential legal concerns. Can you really ask that question? Does that employment test pass legal guidelines? What do you do with the negative results of a background check or employment reference? At what point can you make medical inquires?

Employers need to make sure that supervisors and managers with hiring authority are trained to spot these concerns and to know how to respond. That is why, as part of our Critical Issues in Employment Law Series, MSEC has designed the webinar, Legal Pitfalls in the Hiring Process. This webinar explores the legal issues that can arise in the hiring process from the moment the job is posted or the application received, through the pre-employment screening process, and until a candidate is chosen.
