Q & A – What is the difference between OD and process improvement?

ADRiskMgmt.pngQ. What is the difference between OD and process improvement?

A.  Organizational development encompasses process improvement.  While process improvement is important to help efficiencies, OD takes a broader view and considers the culture by looking at surface behaviors and interactions, systems and processes, personal meaning and integrity, and interpersonal communication and trust.  By considering these four categories, the OD professional hopes to increase positive interaction between all of them, to drive outstanding performance.
