Subject: Deadline Passed: new mandatory federal FMLA poster required

The final rule which implemented two important expansions of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) protections are now in effect. The federal FMLA poster has been updated to include these changes and is now available:

At first glance, you might think you missed an update to your poster.  In fact, the latest changes to the federal FMLA poster were published in February 2013.

Unscrupulous poster vendors out there use marketing designed to convince you that your posters are out of date.  They often tell you of a mandatory change requires you to, “update your posters now or face thousands of dollars in fines.”  The truth is that these are just clever gimmicks to trick you into a hasty poster purchase.  Once you make a purchase, they persistently call or e-mail trying to sell you posters that you don’t need.

MSEC wants to save its members these headaches.  We offer Employment Law posters for all 50 States, plus DC, Puerto Rico and the Canadian provinces.  Our Posters Update Service subscription automatically sends a new poster whenever a mandatory change occurs.  And we will never sell you a poster that you do not need.
