A: Eligible employees can use FMLA for: 1) their own serious health condition; 2) the serious health condition of their spouse, parent, or child; 3) birth and care of a newborn; or 4) adoption or foster placement of a child.  Military FMLA leave is available for family members of service members for certain qualifying exigencies and to care for a service member injured while on active duty in the line of duty.
