Last week, MSEC notified members of an upcoming Proposed Rule with major updates for exempt employees, particularly with respect to the salary basis test, which is currently set at $455 a week ($23,660 per year). That Proposed Rule appears in today’s Federal Register with a September 4, 2015 deadline for comments. For instructions in submitting comments, refer to the U.S. Department of Labor’s site for the proposed rule.
