The 2016 Benchmark Compensation Survey is Now Available!
Results from the 2016 Benchmark Compensation Survey are now available for Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming geographic areas. This survey gathered data on 409 benchmark jobs across the various jobs families: executive, business support, finance, human resources, legal, sales, engineering, production, maintenance, engineering, and procurement.
MSEC’s comprehensive Benchmark Compensation Survey provides employers with accurate, current, and local wage data to benchmark their positions by geographic area, employment size, and industry type.
NEW for 2016! The Benchmark Survey includes five new levels of Sales/Application Engineers to the Engineering/Scientific/Technical job family.
In addition to the base salary, data were also collected for:
- Annual Incentive – Participants were asked to provide annual incentives for the past fiscal/calendar year. Data reported are average incentives paid and number of employees receiving an incentive.
- Target % Incentive – Participants were asked to provide targeted percentage figures for additional compensation, not earned income for the current year.
- FLSA Status – Participants were asked to identify their matched position as exempt or nonexempt as classified under the FLSA.
The General Information section reports data for 2015 and 2016 pay and structure increases, 2017 projected pay and structure increases, historical tracking of projected increases versus actual increases, average entry-level hiring rates, ratio of human-resource employees to total employees, and HR service model.
