Staff Spotlight – Suzanne Dastin

Suzanne Dastin was born in California but spent the majority of her school-age years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After she graduated from the University of New Mexico, she moved to Denver, where she began her HR career.

After some time as a corporate recruiter, Suzanne worked with the University of Denver (DU) for 10 years. Suzanne received her master’s degree from DU along with Mediation and High Performance Leadership certifications. During her tenure, she served as the Associate Director of Career Services for the Daniels College of Business, focusing on recruiting, employer relations, career counseling, and college rankings. Additionally, she spent almost four years with DU’s Executive Education Department designing and developing leadership and open-enrollment programs for working professionals.

Suzanne joined MSEC in 2016 as the manager of HR Professional Staffing and Career Transition Services. Suzanne along with the expert team of HRPS consultants provide HR support to our members.

Suzanne and husband Matt have two children, a 7-year-old daughter (Stella) and a 3-year-old son (Sutton). She is passionate about serving her community, especially within the human resources environment. Suzanne is a certified yoga instructor and loves teaching yoga/therapy and mindfulness to children, because she believes these practices help develop critical life skills.
