Arizona Supreme Court Unanimously Rejects Challenges to Proposition 206

The Arizona Supreme Court voted unanimously on March 14, 2017, to reject the legal challenges raised by pro-business groups to Arizona Proposition 206, the Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act. While lawsuits may continue to challenge the validity of the law, any decision will likely not take place until after Paid Sick Leave goes into effect on July 1, 2017. MSEC members with employees located in the state of Arizona are encouraged to review our FYI and sample policies regarding the law, and contact our staff for any questions regarding compliance.
