On August 29, the EEOC announced that Office of Budget and Management (OMB) has initiated a review of the pay data collection aspect of the updated EEO-1 report that was implemented on September 29, 2016. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), OMB has issued an immediate stay on the collection of the pay data associated with component 2 of the revised EEO-1 report.
Employers with 100 or more employees or federal contracts valued at $50,000 or more and 50 or more employees should still comply with Component 1 of the EEO-1 report. Component 1 of the EEO-1 report is the traditional EEO-1 report consisting of the Race, Gender, and Ethnicity of their employees by EEO category. The filling period for the EEO-1 will remain from January 1 to March 31, 2018.
