A: Of course, this is an overview of the laws that could present legal risks in the employee employer relationship and is not all-inclusive. Employment law is a complex and comprehensive area. Some of the common areas where employers find themselves at risk include: Civil Rights/Discrimination, Unlawful Harassment, Wage and Hour (including misclassifying exempt employees and independent contractors), Americans with Disabilities Act, and Family Medical Leave Act.
