For decades, Employers Council has published wage and benefit surveys. Until now, Utah Grandfathered members paid an additional fee beyond membership dues to get survey results. Now, that’s changing! Beginning in 2020, Utah Grandfathered members that participate in a survey, will now get a copy of those results free!

2019 Miscellaneous Benefits Survey – Arizona, Colorado, Utah & Wyoming

What are other organizations reporting for mileage reimbursement? Do organizations provide paid time off for employees to volunteer? How often are pay days? How often do organizations review salary ranges? What types of incentive/bonuses programs are offered?

These are just a few questions answered in the 2019 Miscellaneous Benefits and Pay Practices Survey – Arizona, Colorado, Utah, & Wyoming. This survey provides data from 405 organizations located in Metropolitan Denver/Boulder, Northern Colorado, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Resort Areas, the Western Slope, and Wyoming. Also included are 34 Arizona organizations located throughout Metropolitan Phoenix, Tucson and other regions throughout the state. The Utah edition has 53 organizations from Wasatch North, Wasatch South, Central/Southern and the Mountainland area.

Other topics included in this report are: Hiring/Employment Practices, Review Period for New Hires, Hours of Work, Performance Appraisals, Communication Methods/Practices, and Employer Sponsored Programs. This survey also includes questions on Pay Practices comprising of Incentives/Bonuses, Overtime, Compensation Administration and Severance Pay.

These data as well as other survey results are published on Employers Council’s website. The Colorado data are also published by industry type and employment size. You can view this information by using your login credentials, and then clicking on the Surveys tab from the Member Home page.


Notice of Surveys Being Conducted

2020 HR Metrics Survey – Arizona, Colorado, Utah & Wyoming

We are currently collecting data for the HR Metrics Survey. The online questionnaire invitation for the survey has been sent to organizations via email with their unique survey link. This survey will provide data for topics such as 2019 turnover, retirement separation, tenure rates, job absence rates, and cost of benefits.

2020 Benchmark & IT Compensation Survey – Arizona, Colorado, Utah & Wyoming

The questionnaire and job description booklet for the 2020 Benchmark & IT Compensation Survey for Arizona, Colorado, Utah & Wyoming employers was mailed out in early January. This survey includes positions that cross all industries in the following job families: general support, financial, human resources, legal, sales/marketing, engineering, production, procurement, as well as information technology, and executive jobs. The general information collects data for 2020 Pay Increase projections, HR staff ratio, as well as entry-level pay for a variety of positions, as well as several new jobs added to the wage and salary data. The online questionnaire invitation for the survey has also been sent to organizations via email with their unique survey link.

2020 Public Employers Compensation Survey

This survey collects compensation data for jobs in a variety of public sector organizations such as Cities/Counties/States, Libraries, Fire, Utilities, and Parks and Recreation organizations. There are seven new positions added to the survey this year. In addition to collecting base salary and formal range structures (minimums/maximums), this survey also collects step pay range information for police and fire positions. The online questionnaire invitation for the survey has been sent to organizations via email with their unique survey link.
