Staff Spotlight: Mark Cicotello

Mark Cicotello joined Employers Council as an HR Consultant in April of 2011. Mark works with both private and public employers in the areas of HR strategy, compensation performance management, international HR, and ethics. Mark is in charge of our popular Public Employers Conference, an event that addresses unique issues HR professionals face who work for government or quasi-government agencies.

Before Employers Council, Mark held a variety of HR positions in the pharmaceutical, high-tech and professional services industries. He was the Vice President of HR at Heska Corporation for seven years, the HR Director of International Operations at Monsanto/Searle for five years, and the HR Director at Hewlett-Packard for 12 years.

He received his Executive MBA from the University of Colorado and his BA (Psychology) from Slippery Rock University. Mark’s HR certifications include: Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR), Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP).

Mark’s favorite part about working at Employers Council is the variety of work. He also enjoys working with members, collaborating with colleagues, and being a part of a cool team and organization.

Mark is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver graduate school, where he teaches a finance class. He is also on the Board of Directors of the World Trade Center. Mark is an avid runner who has completed 14 marathons and tries to play the mandolin.
