COLORADO SPRINGS – July 6, 2020 – Employers Council, a leader in human resources and employment law services for the business community, announced today that George Russo was promoted to director of Employers Council’s Colorado Springs regional office.
“I am thrilled to welcome George into this role. He has a strong background in human resources and employment law and he is an integral part of our team,” said Bill Smith, vice president of regional offices at Employers Council. “As Employers Council’s influence in human resources and employment law continues to expand and evolve, George is the ideal person to help lead us into the future. His background, vision, and ability to execute programs will help position us for continued success in the coming decades.”
In his new role, George will lead the Colorado Springs office, helping members navigate complex workplace issues and become successful, effective employers. George joined Employers Council in 2017 as an employment law attorney and was promoted to supervising attorney of the Colorado Springs office in July of 2019. Prior to Employers Council, George practiced law at MacCabe & McGuire and Anderson, Rasor and Partners in Chicago. While working as a litigator there, he realized that no one is happy before, during, or after litigation. “When I saw Employers Council’s model of a membership where companies get advice on how to avoid litigation, it was the perfect fit for me.” George has his undergrad degree from Catholic University in Washington D.C., and his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
