Many states’ mask mandates have been lifted, but employees are still cautious. An American Staffing Association Workforce Monitor® online survey was conducted from June 10–14 by The Harris Poll that had responses from 2,066 U.S. adults aged 18 and older. Fifty-seven percent want employees to be required to wear a mask when working at an on-site location. This is true even if the employees have been vaccinated. They also want to know who has been vaccinated, although they do not want to be forced to disclose if they have been vaccinated, which may account for the high amount of workers who want masks at work.
This underlines the need for employers to attend to employees’ safety concerns at work. OSHA has guidelines that might be helpful, last updated June 10, 2021. If you need help with back to work plans, contact us.
